I would bet that the store was Jim Hanley's Universe. They're one of the most gay friendly comics shops in the country.

Glad you were able to get a copy of Number #1. It's getting hard to find.

I love the colors... ^ u ^

Not related : we were in New york for a week with the boyfriend, and I managed to complete my shirtlifter collection.

I've found issue number 1 in a comic book store near the empire state building. They had many gay comics, and a good selection of books and paperbacks.

Happy new year to you, (it's a bit late for christmas now)

I have received my shirtlifters #2 and #3 when I got back from holidays, and It was a second X-mas...

I love the mood, and the colors are simple and beautiful. Issue #3 is my favorite : "Unpacking" is a great story, and your guest artists are very talented too. (I especially love Fuzzbelly's style)

Thanks !

(And the t-shirt looks great on my boyriend)

Nice article ^^ but the lack of images is strange. (?)

I'd love to see a comic book reading.. I had never thought about it, but your method of projection / reading the text is interesting.

I don't know how you proceed, but I imagine the drawings could even be animated with Flash, to add some travellings and synchronise the speech bubbles with your reading.

It could even be made in Powerpoint or preferably Keynote on mac.

Your work is very cinematic, I guess it must work very well.

Here in france, book readings are rare, and I've actually never seen one. (T_T)

Reggie: Yeah, I was really negative when I wrote this. I'm not as frustrated now as I was last month. Sometimes its annoying to struggle, struggle, make some headway, struggle, then you stick your head up and realize you're STILL a thousand miles from your destination. But what choice do we have? Giving up is for chumps - whether the issue is gay marriage or homophobic comic stores. Time is on our side, and things will get better. It just may take a while.

Dave: Yeah, Coop distribution would be a great thing to look into. It's one of the thing we talked about at Brad's house in November. I can't make it to the next meeting, though - gonna be out of town.

The Gay comic list in a well written, incredible website... and I hope it will boost the interest in your work even more...
